Gravitational Wave Astrophysics
GOALS: To work with the Numerical Relativity and LIGO groups at Georgia Tech in simulations and data analysis of sources of gravitational waves, such as the merger of black holes and/or neutron stars.
METHODS & TECHNOLOGIES: High Performance Computing, Distributed Systems, Social Networks, Cloud Computing, Multi-media Web Applications, Databases, 3D Visualization, Graphics, User Interface Design.
RESEARCH/DESIGN ISSUES: Numerical simulations of compact object mergers; Signal data analysis; Data visualization; High performance computing.
